Stephanie Hughes is an ANCC Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in psychiatric care. Her clinical background includes both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings, giving her a broad understanding of the challenges individuals face across different levels of mental health treatment. She specializes in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia.
Since 2019, Stephanie has been part of an independent psychiatric practice dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized mental health care. As a co-owner of Hughes and Middleton NP in Psychiatry Group PLLC, she brings years of clinical experience and a commitment to maintaining a patient-centered practice where individuals feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment. Her approach emphasizes thoughtful medication management, collaboration, and building lasting therapeutic relationships with her patients.
Stephanie began her nursing education at St. Joseph’s College of Nursing, earning her Associate of Applied Science in Nursing in 2007. She continued her education at SUNY Upstate Medical University, earning her Master of Science in Nursing in 2013. Her extensive clinical background and commitment to independent practice reflect her dedication to helping individuals navigate mental health challenges with confidence, compassion, and personalized care.
